A wonderful day for a beach wedding! Bride and groom, Amy and Don, traveled from CT to their beachside destination at the Galley Restaurant. I worked with a wonderful photographer, Nathan, (this is why you should always get someone’s card!) who lives down the road from the venue. Stephanie and Terry from the Galley were both so welcoming. Bride Amy looked stunning in her black and silver beaded gown with a wonderful train. Groom Don was dapper in a casual black suit. Guests gathered around the couple at the end of the boardwalk as the officiant stood in the sand to begin the ceremony. Just as they were set to repeat their vows…Don’s best man took a call on his cell. “What you say…this is the Commonwealth of MA and Amy and Don are already married?” The guests gasped and laughed in disbelief when they realized that they had actually been married since June. On this same beach with just the two of them…they said their vows to reach other with just an officiant present. Cocktail hour continued out on the beach and then the group moved inside for dinner. After dinner, they busted loose and grooved to a whole lot of disco and an occasional new song or slow tune. I was thrilled to be a part of such a fun night!
